Job Description Summary

The Head People Data Quality & Governance is accountable for establishing data standards and governance in compliance with privacy regulations for P&O. They work multi-functionally with DDIT in the EDM program to develop an effective data architecture, maintain a customer focus, and take thoughtful risks to provide innovative solutions that drive customer satisfaction while remaining within compliance.

They drive data compliance in People data and lead the development of processes for data quality and integrity, identifying areas of risk and mitigating them. The Head People Data Quality & Governance fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making, develops policies and procedures, and cultivates effective external relationships to stay up to date on the latest data trends.

By taking a customer-centric approach and understanding customer needs, they enable the organization by taking smart risks to further our data & insights capabilities while staying within our regulatory and enterprise frameworks. Through their strategic leadership, the Head People Data Quality & Governance establishes the organization as a thought leader in data-driven innovation.

 

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

Data Governance and Management

• Develop and implement data standards and governance in compliance with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) guidelines and privacy regulations.

• Work closely with DDIT to develop an effective data architecture for people-related data.

• Act as the Enterprise Data Owner for People Data (EDO) - drive compliance of data in People data.

• Ensure data solutions align with business goals and strategies.

• Develop data policies and procedures that ensure accountability for data management and consistency to standards.

• Responsible for P&O data access management and controls together with SP&G

Data Quality and Integrity

• Develop processes for data quality and integrity to ensure accuracy of reporting and analytics.

• Identify areas of risk and develop action plans to mitigate them.

Data Strategy and Decision-Making

• Partner with Client Partnering Team, Analytics & Insights to understand current and future data needs.

• Map current P&O data onto a transparent overview and develop a plan to consolidate data into a single source where possible or connected sources for improved accessibility & maintenance.

• Maintain customer focus and take thoughtful risks to provide data-driven solutions that drive customer satisfaction while within compliance.

• Ensures data considerations are included in vendor RFP processes together with other Solutions Leaders.

• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.

• Establish and champion a culture of data-driven innovation within the organization.

• Promote the organization as an inspiring leader in data-driven innovation.

Lead successful teams to achieve superior results in a motivating work environment

• Create an inspiring purpose and direction of the team connected to impact of P&O on the Organization, our business and P&O strategy

• Set goals, actively coach, and conduct performance discussions with direct reports with feedback from GPOs or other partners

• Provide development opportunities within the team, from other areas into this Organization and to move into roles outside of this team

• Identify and resolve resource issues

• Partners with Director Value Creation, PTDI to build capabilities in- and outside PTDI around data integrity, data management.

Key Requirements:

• Master or equivalent experience in Business (MBA) or Informational Studies. Doctoral in Statistics or Data sciences;                                                     

• Demonstrated ability in People Analytics, Technology or broader P&O Transformational environment

• Demonstrable experience in data governance, management, quality and decision-making

• Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and enterprise guidelines

• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing data strategies.

• Experience with developing and implementing data policies and procedures

• Experience with data analysis and advanced data analytics capabilities

• P&O experience, preferably in different type of P&O roles

• Proven track record of P&O leadership and management

• Experience at both global/ corporate environment and in-country

• Track record of success in leading in a matrix environment.  Confirmed ability to lead and coach people

• Ability to handle large scale programs

• Strong curiosity and ability to drive innovation

• Strong social skills for bridging P&O technical and business customers

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
